DVM Helps Make History

It was quite an electric experience (pun intended) shooting for the “Batteries” episode of Modern Marvels: a prime-time show on the History Channel. California-based Actuality Productions engaged us to shoot the inner workings of the mammoth Energizer battery plant in Asheboro, NC. It was fun shooting for a show that we’ve geeked-out to so many times.

It’s amazing how they make seemingly mundane topics come alive. So how can a show about batteries be interesting? Almost everything requiring power that’s not connected to the wall uses them. Check out the website for the show at history.com. The “Batteries” episode first aired on September 19, 2007. (Sorry, no production stills from the shoot.) Camera equipment included the Varicam with the Fuji 16×6.3 lens.
